Denis Island

Denis is a small, classic desert island and lies some 95 kilometres north of Mahé. The 350-acre coral island, which has just one lodge, sits at the edge of the Seychelles Bank which plunges 2,000 feet down into the abyss of the Indian Ocean. The island is almost entirely surrounded by coral reefs, rich in marine life, giving rise to a natural lagoon and gentle, brilliant white, sand beaches. It is the ultimate barefoot getaway and ideal for couples and honeymooners.

Accommodation & Facilities
Denis Island resort is on the northwestern tip of the island, right on the edge of the beach, surrounded by mature casuarina trees and coconut palms. The 25 spacious and secluded cottages are all en-suite and have been stylishly decorated using natural materials and each has a private sea-facing verandah. The restaurant serves international and local specialities and is complemented by a well stocked bar and large elegant sitting area. Denis Island has a lovely pool adjacent to the main lodge building, and there is also a library, a shop, and a media room with internet.

Experiences & Activities
Whilst staying at Denis Island, guests can simply relax on the beach and enjoy the world class snorkelling. The resort offers a small, professional and fully equipped dive centre offering excellent diving. Other activities include tennis, bicycles, tours of the farm and fishing.
