Botswana Riding Safaris
The riding in Botswana is fast and extremely exhilarating, aimed at experienced regular riders. An enormous, empty country filled with savannah, desert, wetlands, salt pans and huge amounts of game, Botswana has some of the best game viewing that Africa has to offer.
Either experience top-of-the-range riding safaris in the Okavango Delta, the largest wetland in the world or a holiday in the contrasting, drier Tuli Block, along the banks of the Limpopo River.
All the horses at the camps are well schooled allowing you to get incredibly close to fantastic wildlife. Both destinations are just teeming with game to provide you with a once in a life time African riding holiday.

A Botswana Riding Safari – A Personal View
To have the chance to ride as part of a longer trip visiting camps in Botswana was an exceptional opportunity. African Horseback Safaris run riding holidays in the Abu concession within the vast Okavango Delta. They have a variety of highly fit and responsive horses to suit any ability.
The guiding is outstanding and galloping alongside giraffe is a fantastic memory as is swimming the horses through the narrow waterways in search of game. African Horseback Safaris’ base camp, Macatoo, is simple but very comfortable although a night's fly camping is a lovely alternative in a longer stay
