Tsara Camp
Tsara Camp is to the south of Antananarivo in Madagascar, close to the Andringitra National Park. It is 25 km off the route between Tana and Tulear, which doesn't sound much, but is. The track is very poor and definitely 4x4 territory. However the view of the Andringitra Massif is worth the bone jarring ride.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are fifteen, luxuriously large tents at Tsara Camp with Malagasy wooden floors, and private shower and hand basin. They are arranged around the central dining tent, shaded by thatched roofs, in which relatively simple local meals are served.
Wildlife & Activities
Walking is the main activity from Tsara Camp and there are two small forests within a short distance of the camp, both suitable for two to three hour walks. Day or multi-day walks are also possible although the heat during many months means an early start.
