Funzi Keys
Funzi Keys is on an unspoilt island in the Indian Ocean off the southern most part of the Kenya coast. It is located on a west-facing beach with glorious views of the evening sunsets.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are nine spacious sea front cottages which are set along the high-water line and eight sea view cottages. All are constructed of stone and thatch with large netted windows open to the balmy sea breezes.Each individually designed room has a hand carved king-sized four-poster bed and is furnished with local wooden artefacts and colourful fabrics with spectacular sea views. In front of each is a large furnished verandah from which to enjoy the views. The main area has a dining room and bar as well as a huge swimming pool.
Wildlife & Activities
Life at Funzi Keys is relaxed and many guests do little more than unwind on the wooden deck of the pool with a drink while watching the local fishing dhows sail by. But for more energetic guests it is possible to enjoy sailing, creek fishing, windsurfing and canoeing or perhaps take a boat trip up the Ramisi River or Funzi Creek for an unforgettable glimpse of kingfishers, crocodiles and even dolphins. Funzi is an excellent base for deep-sea fishing and scuba diving in the Pemba Channel, which can be arranged and paid for locally.
