Jao Camp is located within its own private concession (in a private reserve bordering the Moremi Game Reserve), and offers both land and water based game viewing activities. This will depend on the fluctuating levels of the Okavango throughout the year.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp has nine large rooms, all on raised wooden decks beneath a canopy of indigenous trees and surrounded by lush palms. Each room at Jao Camp has en-suite facilities and a 'sala' for afternoon naps. The main dining, lounge and bar area is beneath a thatch roof. There are two swimming pools, a small gym and a spa where guests are able to take many different treatments.

Wildlife & Activities
Game viewing from Jao Camp is diverse with lion, cheetah and leopard sighted regularly. Tsessebe, red lechwe, zebra, giraffe, warthog and wildebeest dot the flood plains and large herds of buffalo move in and out of the reserve at will. Night drives are good for spotting creatures not often seen such as porcupine, spotted hyena, pangolin, spring hares, bushbabies, civet and genets. As well as traditional vehicle based game drives, guests can enjoy boat trips and view game from mokoros (dug-out canoes) whilst drifting along the narrow waterways of the Okavango Delta.
